Job summary

Pertemps is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a Bourton-on-the-Water site. The role covers planned maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding, repairs and continuous improvement to keep production equipment reliable and efficient.

This permanent, full-time, on-site position offers a salary of £34,000–£36,000 depending on experience, with opportunities for training and development within an established manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in a maintenance engineer or similar role.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with planned preventive maintenance and responding to machinery breakdowns.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and technical documentation.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production stoppages.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Carry out effective repairs and ensure equipment is safe and operational.
• Investigate recurring equipment failures and propose corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Support engineering projects, equipment upgrades and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety and maintainability.
