Job summary

Dunstable, Luton area (onsite, five days a week) is seeking an IT Team Leader to oversee IT support across two schools. You’ll manage day-to-day 2nd/3rd line work, plan hardware and software refreshes, and lead by example.

You’ll be hands-on with Windows and Apple environments, networking, AV, and backups while line-managing an IT Media Technician and advising on on-site IT decisions. Strong teamwork and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Solid technical grounding in Windows servers, AD, and network basics.
• Experience supporting Apple hardware (iMacs, iPads, iOS).
• Comfort with AV equipment and classroom technology.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work with leadership on IT plans.
• Willingness to lead by example and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day 2nd/3rd line IT support across two schools.
• Lead hardware, software, and infrastructure planning and refresh cycles.
• Hands-on support across Windows and Apple environments, networking, AV, backups.
• Line-manage IT Media Technician and act as escalation point.
• Represent IT in school leadership discussions and decisions as needed.
• Collaborate with IT Operations Manager and School leadership on priorities.
