Job summary

An Andover-based manufacturer is looking for a Goods In & Production Support Operative to manage incoming deliveries, check quality, book stock into the ERP system, and maintain accurate stock records so production can flow smoothly.

The role supports the production team with components and materials, requires interpreting engineering drawings or technical part lists, and demands strong IT skills, meticulous organisation and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or technical stores environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings or technical part information.
• Strong IT skills and experience with stock control or ERP systems.
• Organised and methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, reliable and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and inspect all incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and part lists to verify components.
• Book stock into the system against purchase orders with precision.
• Maintain accurate stock records and organise stores efficiently.
• Pick parts and prepare kit lists for the production team.
• Support machine builders by providing components and materials as needed.
• Assist with basic mechanical assemblies when required.
• Identify and report shortages, damaged goods or discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, production and purchasing teams.
