Job summary

DXC Technology in Edinburgh is seeking a hands-on Desktop & Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our secure client environment. You’ll provide day-to-day desktop support and contribute to wider infrastructure projects across laptops, desktops, VDI and server environments, helping to troubleshoot issues and maintain systems.

This on-site role requires strong problem-solving, clear user communication and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant subject is beneficial.
• IT qualifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 or AWS Cloud Practitioner are welcome but not essential.
• Solid background in desktop and infrastructure support with enterprise tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical desktop and infrastructure support across laptops, desktops, VDI and servers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot desktop and infrastructure issues, escalating when needed.
• Install, configure, maintain and deploy desktop and infrastructure technologies.
• Utilise SCCM, Entra, Azure and Intune for deployment and management.
• Monitor systems and contribute to projects to improve infrastructure resilience.
