Job summary

Jollyes Pets in Colne is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead on the shop floor, support the Store Manager, and coach the team through daily customer interactions. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, managing KPIs, and driving store performance while maintaining high standards of pet care.

The role is full-time, on-site, with a salary of £28,038–£28,500 per year and the potential for up to £2,000 bonus annually.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for pets and people and delivering an unrivalled customer experience.
• Previous retail supervisory or management experience with a hands-on approach.
• Comfortable leading on the shop floor and coaching teams.
• Clear communication to motivate staff and plan succession.
• Track record of contributing to KPIs and store performance.
• Commercial awareness, including P&L understanding.
• Own transport with a UK driving licence for regional tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading the team on a day-to-day basis.
• Help run a successful store by managing KPIs for people, standards, service and finances.
• Coach the team to upsell and add value for customers while building a strong sales culture.
• Ensure high standards of pet care and responsible pet ownership.
• Deliver outstanding customer service with strong product knowledge.
• Recruit, train and develop staff and promote Jollyes as an employer of choice.
