Job summary

Student Castle is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for our Bristol sites. The role is hands-on and involves carrying out repairs, electrical tasks (where qualified), and routine maintenance across multiple properties.

You will manage contractors, assist with budgets, and ensure health and safety standards are met to keep residents and colleagues safe. The position requires practical maintenance experience, a current driving licence, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-discipline maintenance environment.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent.
• Current driving license.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding, repair and maintenance across sites accommodation buildings.
• Delivery of maintenance on site.
• Safe testing, operation and maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Ensure buildings are maintained to a high standard and safety procedures are followed.
• Liaise with contractors and manage on-site works.
