Job summary

Student Castle is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee repairs and ongoing upkeep across our student accommodation sites in Hall, Scotland. You will lead the maintenance team, plan reactive and preventive work, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires knowledge of building regulations, risk assessments and contractor management, plus coaching colleagues and maintaining detailed records to sustain high facility standards.

Qualifications

• IOSH Working Safely or equivalent required within 3 months
• Knowledge of statutory and regulatory compliance is essential
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and British Standards is preferred
• Experience in managing contractors for major works
• Strong computer and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair across student accommodation sites
• Lead maintenance team and supervise daily operations
• Ensure safety, compliance and proper record keeping
• Oversee testing/maintenance of plant and equipment
• Coordinate with contractors and visits from subcontractors
• Provide coaching and mentoring to colleagues
