Unite Group is hiring a Maintenance Operative to help keep student accommodation safe, well maintained and welcoming in Bristol. You will perform hands-on maintenance, support planned inspections and address day-to-day issues, contributing to high standards across properties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance, facilities or property maintenance role
• Able to carry out general repairs and routine maintenance tasks
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures
• Practical problem solving with a proactive mindset
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance tasks and resolve issues to a high standard
• Support planned maintenance and inspections to keep buildings safe and operational
• Maintain high property standards and perform low-level repairs in communal areas
• Follow safe working practices and support health and safety compliance
• Respond to maintenance requests and resident queries promptly and professionally
• Identify and report maintenance, safety or operational issues and log them accordingly
• Support emergency response as a first-line responder when needed
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide operational support across the property
