Job summary

Bromcom Computers Plc, the UK's fastest-growing cloud-native school MIS provider, seeks an experienced DevOps Team Manager to lead a 3-4 person team and own the reliability and security of Bromcom's Azure-first SaaS platform.

You will balance hands-on DevOps engineering (about 70%) with people management (about 30%), setting standards, driving operability, and owning incident response, DR and service improvement across the stack.

Qualifications

• Proven line-management experience leading a DevOps/CloudOps or platform team.
• Hands-on DevOps and Azure platform engineering with design, deployment and troubleshooting expertise.
• Experience implementing and maintaining operational controls, processes and audit evidence in a regulated setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, line-manage and develop a team of 3-4 DevOps engineers, including at least one senior engineer; manage recruitment, onboarding, objectives and performance.
• Own team capacity, priorities and on-call rota; respond to production incidents and urgent issues during coverage.
• Provide hands-on engineering leadership for an Azure-hosted, multi-tenant SaaS platform and maintain engineering standards across Azure DevOps, Bicep/ARM, security and observability.
