Job summary

Bromcom Computers Plc, the UK’s fastest-growing cloud-native school MIS provider, seeks a DevOps Team Manager to lead a small engineering group responsible for the reliability, security and control of the Azure-first SaaS platform.

You will balance hands-on DevOps work (about 70%) with people management (about 30%), shaping engineering standards, CI/CD, automation, incident response and operational controls across multi-tenant services used by thousands of schools.

Qualifications

• Proven line-management experience leading a DevOps/CloudOps or platform team.
• Hands-on DevOps, cloud or platform engineering with Azure expertise.
• Experience implementing operational controls, risk assessments and audit evidence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 3–4 DevOps engineers, with recruitment, onboarding and performance management.
• Provide hands-on engineering leadership for an Azure-hosted SaaS platform, 70% delivery, 30% people management.
• Own platform SLAs/SLOs, incident response, disaster recovery and on-call coverage.
• Establish and enforce end‑to‑end change governance, post‑change verification and evidence maintenance.
• Drive automation, CI/CD improvements and secure, auditable operational controls.
