Job summary

Careys is seeking a proactive H&S Advisor to join the HSSQ team on a major civils project in North Ayrshire. The role involves providing practical guidance on health, safety, sustainability and quality, and embedding Safe Home Every Day behaviours across teams.

You will report to the H&S Manager, deliver HSSQ training, support investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement while working in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH certification is required as a minimum.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar health and safety role within civil engineering or major projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, best practice and HSSQ management systems.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams with H&S documentation including Construction Phase Plans, Emergency Plans, ITPs, method statements and risk assessments.
• Attend project and client meetings to provide practical HSSQ guidance in a regulated setting.
• Conduct proactive audits and inspections to ensure actions are closed out effectively.
