Principal People Recruitment is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to support major infrastructure projects across Scotland. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on site presence, deputising for the Health and Safety Manager when required.

You will lead a small team of advisors, conduct audits and RAMS reviews, and use safety data to drive improvements, while building strong client relationships and maintaining a visible presence across the project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Proven Senior H&S Advisor experience.
• Essential: line management experience, with the ability to lead and develop a team.
• Strong construction, infrastructure or utilities experience, ideally water, gas, energy, civils or large scale construction.
• The confidence to challenge managers and senior stakeholders and influence change.
• Strong practical knowledge of construction risks including deep excavation, groundworks, drainage, underground services, lifting operations, plant, confined spaces, work at height and heavy equipment installation.
• The ability to operate strategically while remaining credible and comfortable on site.
• NEBOSH or equivalent qualification.
