Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Gynaecology team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a specialist women's health service. You will support women through gynaecological and oncology pathways while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The role is full-time, fixed-term until 31 March 2027, with flexible 24/7 working patterns and the possibility of working across NHSGGC sites to meet service

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in acute healthcare setting would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised programmes of care for patients within the Gynaecology service.
• Deliver safe, effective and evidence-based nursing care while promoting dignity, wellbeing and patient choice.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records in line with NMC and organisational standards.
• Support and contribute to a positive learning environment for students, newly appointed staff and colleagues.
• Participate in service improvement initiatives, research activities and the development of evidence-based practice.
• Contribute to the effective day-to-day running of the clinical area, including equipment, stock management and patient flow.
