Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde seeks a nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for allocated patients in an emergency medical care setting. You will develop and evaluate care programmes, mentor junior staff, and ensure high-quality care and adherence to standards.

The post is permanent, part-time at Vale of Leven Hospital with flexible shifts, and a focus on ongoing professional development within NHSGGC.

Qualifications

• Experience in acute medicine or accident and emergency setting.
• Agreement to flexible shift working and internal rotation.
• Good organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients.
• Coordinate seamless care from admission to discharge with the MDT and carers.
• Provide teaching, guidance and supervision for unqualified staff and students.
• Assist in development of unit-based orientation and education for new staff and students.
• Maintain clear, concise records in line with standards and policies.
• Identify risks and contribute to risk management and incident reporting.
