Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care in the Gynaecology Service, including General Gynaecology and Gynaecology Oncology, within a multidisciplinary team at Princess Royal Maternity Hospital.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in line with NMC standards and NHS policies, maintain accurate records, and contribute to staff development and service improvement.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse on the NMC Register.
• Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
• Knowledge of NMC standards, clinical governance and NHS policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals.
• Practice in accordance with NMC standards, NHS policies, Health & Safety requirements and infection control procedures.
• Support patient involvement in care decisions and promote continuous improvement in clinical practice.
• Contribute to staff training, student support, professional development and research activities.
• Supervise and support staff as required.
• Assist with resource management, stock control, service delivery and recruitment activities.
