Job summary

Holiday Inn Blackpool is seeking an enthusiastic Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead the Platform 9 Bar & Kitchen and breakfast service. You will inspire the team, maintain high service standards and help drive guest satisfaction in a dynamic hotel environment.

Reporting to the F&B Manager, you will support operations, upselling and events, while upholding food safety and quality, brand standards and a welcoming guest experience for all visitors and colleagues.

• Ability to manage daily operations and guest service.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the F&B team to deliver outstanding service.
• Supervise Platform 9 Bar & Kitchen, breakfast, room service and events.
• Support efficient daily operations and stock control; assist with sales reporting.
• Ensure food safety, licensing, health & safety and brand standards are met.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and hotel teams to provide a seamless guest experience.

As our Guest Services Supervisor Food & Beverage, reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day success of our operation. What you'll be doing...

1. Leadingfrom the front – Support, motivate and inspire our Food & Beverageteam, leading by example and creating a positive, welcoming environmentwhere everyone feels valued and supported.
2. Deliveringexceptional guest experiences – Champion outstanding servicestandards, ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome, attentive serviceand a memorable experience.
3. Supportingdaily operations – Supervise the smooth running of Platform 9 Bar& Kitchen, breakfast, room service and conference and eventsoperations, ensuring our teams are organised, prepared and deliveringtheir best.
4. Developingour people – Support the Food & Beverage Manager with teamtraining, coaching and development, helping colleagues buildtheirconfidence, skills and knowledge.
5. Creatingoperational excellence – Lead daily shift briefings, coordinate teamactivities and maintain consistently high standards of service,presentation and efficiency throughout the department.
6. Takingownership of guest satisfaction – Engage with guests, respondpositively to feedback and resolve concerns professionally, always lookingfor opportunities to enhance the guest experience.
7. Supportingcommercial performance – Assist with stock control, cash handling,daily sales reporting and minimising waste, while encouraging the team tomaximise opportunities through upselling and promotions.
8. Championingstandards and compliance – Ensure food safety, licensing, health andsafety and brand standards are maintained, creating a safe and welcomingenvironment for guests and colleagues alike.
9. Workingtogether for success – Collaborate with the Food & BeverageManager, kitchen team and wider hotel departments to ensure seamlesscommunication, teamwork and an exceptional guest experience.
