Lamington Group’s Second Nature is seeking a Host to welcome guests and set the tone of their stay. You’ll greet guests with warmth, handle needs with calm professionalism, and connect them to what they need as part of a guest-facing team that takes pride in hospitality.

You’ll notice guest needs, remember preferences, and go beyond the expected to make guests feel at home, representing our values with reliability and genuine care.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in hospitality, customer service, or another guest-facing role.
• Experience in a hotel, guesthouse, serviced accommodation handling guest interactions from arrival through to departure.
• Ability to create positive guest experiences, building rapport and solving problems.
• Comfortable with everyday admin tasks and keeping guest information organized.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests at check-in and check-out, learn names, and make guests feel at home from the first hello.
• Keep guest conversations moving and reply quickly to messages.
• Share local knowledge, recommend neighbourhood spots, events and places guests might not discover on their own.
• Spot needs before guests ask, notice a family needing extra space, and offer help when unsure.
• Handle guest concerns calmly, listen, take ownership, and work toward a fair solution.
• Keep the front desk running smoothly, manage guest details accurately, and keep the space welcoming and organized.
