Job summary

The Alverton in Truro, part of Cornwall Hotel Collection, is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage Server to join our team on a part-time basis. You’ll welcome guests, take orders, and serve with a high standard, helping to create a warm, memorable dining experience.

We value reliability, team spirit, and a positive attitude, with full training provided and share of tips. Flexible to work evenings and weekends is ideal.

Qualifications

Previous hospitality or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
Friendly, approachable and confident with guests.
Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Able to work well as part of a team.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays where required.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit.
Take food and drink orders accurately and confidently.
Serve food and drinks to a high standard.
Keep tables, service areas and the restaurant/bar clean and presentable.
Work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth service.
Respond to guest requests and help create a welcoming atmosphere.
Follow food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures.
