Job summary

The National Trust is seeking a Welcome Manager to lead our welcoming team across Coleton Fishacre, Overbecks and coastal car parks in South Devon. You’ll ensure superb visitor experiences and smooth day‑to‑day operations in the welcome area and paid entry sites.

You’ll develop, mentor and inspire your team of staff and volunteers, uphold Trust policies, manage risk, money handling and emergencies, and contribute to the charitable income and reputation.

Qualifications

• Experience in visitor services, tourism or heritage
• Naturally curious about people, motivated to deliver high standards of service
• Highly organized
• Confident leader
• Adept at managing financial performance
• Adaptable and responsive under pressure

Responsibilities

• Inspire and care for your team to deliver the highest standards of service and to grow charitable income
• Lead day-to-day operations in the welcome area and manned car parks at South Milton Sands and Wembury
• Act as duty manager for Coleton Fishacre and occasionally Overbecks; safeguarding, cash and tills, fire, security and evacuation
• Be the main point of contact for staff, volunteers and visitors in emergencies or enquiries
