Job summary

Hawksmoor Manchester is seeking a friendly Restaurant Host to welcome guests and manage reservations, walk-ins and waiting lists with poise. You will help seat guests, oversee cloakroom and guest arrivals, and support the floor team to maintain smooth service in a bustling restaurant.

Ideal candidates are people-focused, calm under pressure and enjoy teamwork. Prior hospitality experience helps, but full training is provided, and a welcoming, inclusive culture awaits.

Qualifications

• Naturally friendly, confident and great with people.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, busy restaurant environment.
• Organised, calm and able to think on your feet.
• A reliable team player who enjoys being part of a close-knit team.
• Previous hospitality or customer-facing experience is helpful but not essential, full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and confidently on arrival.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins and waiting lists during service.
• Seat guests and manage the flow of the restaurant to support smooth service.
• Oversee cloakroom and guest arrivals during busy periods.
• Communicate clearly with managers, floor teams and the kitchen.
• Support the floor team by helping set and reset tables and assist service when needed.
• Handle guest enquiries in person, by phone and email with care and professionalism.
