Job summary

Hawksmoor in Manchester is seeking a friendly Restaurant Host to welcome guests, manage reservations and waiting lists, coordinate seating and cloakroom, and support the floor team to keep service running smoothly. You’ll be a central part of the guest journey from arrival to seating, ensuring guests feel welcomed and looked after.

Qualifications

• Naturally friendly, confident and great with people.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Organised, calm and able to think on your feet.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and confidently on arrival
• Manage reservations, walk-ins and waiting lists during service
• Seat guests and manage the flow of the restaurant to support smooth service
• Oversee cloakroom and guest arrivals during busy periods
• Communicate clearly with managers, floor teams and the kitchen
• Support the floor team by helping set and reset tables and assist service when needed
• Handle guest enquiries in person, by phone and email with care and professionalism
