Job summary

Merlin Entertainments is hiring Hotel Receptionists at the Alton Towers Resort. The role requires a welcoming first impression, guest issue resolution, and front desk duties across five hotels on-site.

Shifts include early 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or late 2:30 PM–10:30 PM, with 5 out of 7 days availability. Applicants must be 18+. Flexibility across departments may be required during the season.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years or over.
• Flexible availability to work 5 out of 7 days with shifts of either an early shift 7am–3pm or a late shift 2:30pm–10:30pm.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Delivering excellent service.
• Confident handling guest queries and front desk duties.
• Strong communication skills with guests and internal teams.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with good organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of guest issues and ensuring information passes to the correct department.
• Handling cash and keys as part of front desk duties.
• Providing a welcoming, first-impression experience at the hotel front desk.
• Supporting multiple departments based on operational needs during the season.
