Job summary

Scotsman Group is seeking a hospitality team member to be the face of our venues in the United Kingdom. You will work across restaurant, bar, shop and event spaces, supporting both front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role is predominantly 08:00–17:00 with occasional evening work as business needs dictate. You will greet guests, take orders, upsell items, deliver meals with high standards, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Experience in a restaurant, café, bar, or busy guest service environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with guests and team members.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, seat them and present menus.
• Take orders accurately, noting dietary requirements.
• Recommend menu items and upsell beverages.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on tables and addressing feedback.
• Deliver food with high presentation and hygiene standards.
• Set and reset tables, stock tableware and condiments.
• Take and prepare bar orders and assist in event setups.
• Process payments adhering to till procedures and report discrepancies.
• Restock shop shelves and manage quick sales transactions.
• Maintain hygiene standards in dining, bar and back-of-house areas.
• Comply with health, safety and food hygiene regulations.
• Be mindful of energy use and switch off unused equipment.
• Manage equipment storage and ensure proper organization.
• Know licensing and food hygiene legislation relevant to role.
