Job summary

Wotton House in Surrey is seeking a Receptionist who will be the first and last impression for our guests, delivering a warm, professional welcome and a seamless stay from arrival to departure. You’ll manage check-ins/outs, handle enquiries, reservations and payments, and work closely with Housekeeping and Food & Beverage to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Thrives in a busy environment and can stay calm under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Confident using computer systems; Opera experience is advantageous and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally.
• Complete guest check-ins and check-outs accurately.
• Respond to guest enquiries, requests and complaints with care.
• Handle reservations, calls and emails in a timely, professional manner.
• Process payments and maintain accurate guest accounts.
• Promote hotel facilities, dining experiences and local attractions.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance and other teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Maintain high standards of presentation in Reception and lobby areas.
