Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is hiring a dedicated Porter for Chartwells on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week, contracted to 44 weeks per year). The role involves keeping lobby areas clean, assisting in setup of rooms, and handling light reception duties such as bookings.

You will work 5 out of 7 days and contribute to a team-focused, customer-friendly environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, a strong communicator, reliable, and able to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of

Responsibilities

• Keeping the lobby and public areas clean and tidy.
• Assisting housekeeping, restaurant and banqueting staff to set up rooms or move furniture.
• Handling reception duties such as booking theatre tickets or restaurant reservations.
• Responding to customer requests where required.
• Running errands for the team and guests.
• Ensuring safety by displaying wet floor or paint signage where needed.
