About this role

As a Growth Marketing Manager at Ably, you’ll play a crucial role in building and executing marketing initiatives that grow awareness, generate demand, and build our inbound marketing motion. You’ll be responsible for running paid marketing campaigns, optimizing content distribution for our target audience, and managing marketing events to engage Ably’s ICP. If you love running experiments, high-impact campaigns, and creating engaging, customer-focused content for technical audiences, we’d love to hear from you.

Day to day you will

  • Champion opportunities to reach our ICP. You’ll identify and execute strategies to connect with Ably’s technical ICP where they are, via paid media, partnerships, and organic content distribution.
  • Deliver impactful inbound marketing efforts. You’ll use your ability to create compelling copy, and understanding of paid and organic channels, to craft strategies and assets that deliver impact across LinkedIn, Google Ads, email marketing, and other demand generation efforts. Working closely with our Design team, content producers and external contractors to support these initiatives.
  • Drive Ably’s content strategy. You’ll help develop and execute on our content strategy, identifying and surfacing platform-specific content needs (e.g., LinkedIn campaigns, Google Ads) and ensuring that messaging resonates with customers across our channels.
  • Use data to measure impact and optimize campaigns. You’ll utlilize marketing performance data to analyze effectiveness, run experiments and continuously improve campaigns for better results.
  • Collaborate across teams. You’ll enable teams across the business to make the most of events by equipping them with content, assets and swag and ensuring we can capitalize on all available opportunities. And partner with our sales team to get our content in front of our target audience.

It's important that you have

  • Proven experience running delivering impactful paid media campaigns through Google Ads and LinkedIn.
  • The ability to create platform-specific content and copy that performs, for channels including LinkedIn, Google Ads and email marketing.
  • A customer-first mindset, with experience leveraging insights to develop research-backed, engaging content.
  • Experience in content strategy and distribution, including using SEO insights, sponsored placements, partnerships, and paid channels to maximise content performance.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret marketing performance data and optimize campaigns accordingly.
  • Experience designing and running experiments, analyzing results, and using data to drive decision-making.

It would be great (but not essential) if you have

  • Experience running owned events and supporting sales and engineering teams to maximize the impact of external events.
  • Experience in managing external contractors (e.g. LinkedIn and Google Ads specialists).
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Google Search Console, SEMRush, and MarTech tools for ABM.
  • Experience using Asana or similar project management tools.
  • Experience working with technical personas and developer-focused marketing.
