Job summary

Cynergy Bank is seeking a Relationship Director to lead a portfolio of business customers and develop a high-performing team from its London base. The role combines strategic portfolio management with relationship leadership, supporting regional growth and delivering strong risk standards.

The successful candidate will drive lending opportunities, enhance customer outcomes and collaborate with partners across the bank. Hybrid working with three days in-office and two days remote is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Business, Commercial or Corporate Banking relationship management.
• Experience managing a lending portfolio in the SME/Commercial market.
• Strong credit assessment and lending structuring capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of risk, governance, AML and KYC frameworks.
• Experience leading and developing teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sustainable portfolio growth and income in line with the Business Banking strategy.
• Proactively manage and develop a portfolio of business customers (£5m-£60m lending).
• Maximise new lending opportunities and drive product uptake with existing customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and stakeholders.
• Independently assess and prepare high-quality lending proposals.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay competitive.
• Ensure full compliance with AML, KYC and regulatory requirements.
• Champion a high-quality customer experience and continuous process improvement.
• Lead, coach and develop team members to achieve success.
