Job summary

Control Risks, a leading global risk consultancy, is seeking a Director of Business Development in its Compliance, Investigations & eDiscovery practice. The role drives revenue growth by leading market-facing strategies, client campaigns and pursuit plans across investigations, compliance and disputes.

You will collaborate with practice leaders, marketing and client teams to build opportunities with law firms, corporate legal, compliance officers and internal risk functions, positioning digital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 7+ years of sales, business development, commercial or client development experience in investigations, compliance, disputes, forensic accounting, expert services, litigation consulting or related professional services.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual revenue through individual business development activity and close collaboration with regional leaders.
• Develop new business opportunities across investigations, proactive compliance matters, forensic accounting, expert testimony and litigation support.
• Create top‑of‑funnel opportunities by identifying target accounts and mapping buyers.
• Position Control Risks as a multidisciplinary partner across investigations, compliance and disputes.
• Contribute to client briefings, webinars, roundtables and other market-facing initiatives.
• Partner with marketing to create bespoke collateral and client messaging.
• Develop opportunities around testifying and consulting experts in litigation and arbitration contexts.
• Support pursuit strategy and management of pipeline from outreach to proposal stage.
• Leverage CRM and outreach technology to monitor pipeline and report progress.
• Test new channels and partnerships to reach senior buyers for complex matters.
