Job summary

SAVVY RECRUITMENT is partnering with an established international B2B media and events business to recruit a Commercial Director. This senior, hands-on role drives revenue and profit across events, digital products, content, print, awards, memberships and data products.

You will lead the commercial strategy, oversee a £10m+ sales target and develop new revenue opportunities while managing a multi-level commercial team in a fast-paced, audience-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial leadership within B2B media, publishing or events.
• Experience managing a £10m+ sales target.
• Proven track record of growing multiple revenue streams.
• Experience leading teams across varied levels of seniority.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen.
• Background in strategic partnerships and complex commercial sales.
• Collaborative leadership style with hands-on delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve revenue and profit targets.
• Lead, coach and develop the sales team across levels from SDRs to ADs.
• Manage sales performance, targets, forecasting, budgets and margins.
• Make a sizeable personal contribution through strategic accounts and partnerships.
• Drive revenue across events, digital, print, content, awards, memberships and data products.
• Identify and launch new commercial products, channels and income streams.
• Oversee new business, client retention, rebooking and strategic account development.
• Take ownership of CRM, pipeline and commercial reporting.
• Collaborate with marketing, editorial, data, design, operations and finance.
• Build industry relationships and represent the business at events and awards.
