Job summary

Hastings Direct is a digital insurance provider in the UK, seeking a Commercial MI Analyst to analyse internal and external data, track KPI’s and support commercial managers in developing strategies. The role includes leading commercial projects, contributing to business cases and budgeting while delivering timely MI.

Hybrid work is available with weekly reporting to one of the office locations. The ideal candidate is numerate, commercially aware of the insurance market and capable of working

Qualifications

• Numerate and analytical with the ability to analyse multiple data sources and draw conclusions.
• Commercial focus with a good understanding of the insurance market.
• Ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team, often virtually.
• Good presentation skills, both verbal and written, with strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with competing deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Analyse MI (internal and external) and track KPI’s to identify areas of commercial under performance and assist commercial managers in developing strategies to address.
• Assist commercial managers with developing business cases to enable business or operational change to happen.
• Run commercial projects and lead on initiatives as directed by the commercial manager on time and to budget.
• Take an active role in budget setting and re-forecast process to ensure targets set are stretching but achievable.
• Accountable for the timely and accurate delivery of daily, weekly and monthly MI.
• Hybrid opportunity reporting into one of our office locations in Bexhill, London or Leicester once per week.
