Job summary

Hastings Direct is actively seeking a commercially minded analyst to support the management team with MI analysis and KPI tracking across internal and external data sources. The role involves developing business cases, leading initiatives, and contributing to budget and forecast cycles.

You will report on a weekly basis to one of our UK offices, combining strong numeracy with a practical understanding of the insurance market.

Qualifications

• Analytical thinker with ability to analyse multiple data sources.
• Numerate with strong data interpretation and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of the insurance market or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Analyse MI (internal and external) and track KPI's to identify commercial under performance and assist commercial managers in developing strategies to address.
• Assist commercial managers with developing business cases to enable business or operational change to happen.
• Run commercial projects and lead on initiatives as directed by the commercial manager on time and to budget.
• Take an active role in budget setting and re-forecast process to ensure targets set are stretching but achievable.
• Accountable for the timely and accurate delivery of daily, weekly and monthly MI.
• Hybrid opportunity reporting into one of our office locations in Bexhill, London or Leicester once per week.
• Numerate and analytical with the ability to analyse multiple data sources and draw conclusions.
• Commercial focus with a good understanding of the insurance market.
• Ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team, often virtually.
• Good presentation skills, both verbal and oral with great communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with competing deadlines and priorities.
