Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking a Commercial Executive to support inflation analysis and the development of insights to offset inflation in claims. You will collaborate across teams to drive the claims strategy, produce MI, and monitor performance, while staying aware of market movements and pricing practices.

The role emphasizes strong analytics, data visualization, and cross-functional collaboration within a digital insurance environment and a flexible hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to interpret claims data and drive commercial insights.
• Data visualization skills using Excel/PowerBI to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Experience in customer claims management; underwriting pricing practices and segmentation are advantageous.
• Strong commercial acumen with comfort handling P&L mechanics and enabling change within a matrix organisation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Manager to deliver the claims strategy and initiatives.
• Identify inflation drivers in claims data and market insights.
• Engage with internal and external experts to understand influences on claims.
• Produce MI and monitor claims performance, spotting emerging trends.
• Develop knowledge of market movements and mitigate impacts on processes.
• Collaborate on projects affecting the claims book and provide input for success.
