The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington seeks a Groups Reservations Supervisor to lead the groups team, handle all group inquiries, and ensure accurate rate quoting, deposits, contracts, and information flow. The role focuses on maximizing hotel revenue through effective group management.

You will supervise the group bookings process, train the team, and maintain system accuracy in Fidelio/Opera while coordinating with other departments in a fast-paced hotel environment in London.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Group Block Space – Leisure Groups / Ad Hoc Corporate Groups / Exhibition & Event Groups and Allocations.
• Supervise the Group Sales Executives and Groups Co-ordinator in quoting and administration of all group bookings; train and develop the team.
• Respond to all incoming inquiries for ad hoc groups and provide accurate quotations.
• Decide on acceptance or rejection of group bookings based on rate and availability to maximise revenue.
• Be fully knowledgeable in using the Fidelio and Opera reservations system.
• Input Group/Block Reservations into Fidelio and Opera with accurate details per standards.

Job description

The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington is seeking a Groups Reservations Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising the groups team in the handling of all incoming Group inquiries, and to ensure procedures are in place and adhered to regarding group information, rate quoting, chasing, credit, contracts, deposits and the communication of information regarding group bookings and to maximize revenue potential for the hotel.

The Groups Reservations Supervisor Key Responsibilities will include:

• To manage all Group Block Space – Leisure Groups / Ad Hoc Corporate Groups / Exhibition & Event Groups and Allocations.
• To supervise the Group Sales Executives and Groups Co-ordinator in the quoting and administration of all group bookings, including the training and development of the team.
• To respond to all incoming inquiries for ad hoc groups, and to provide accurate and detailed quotations.
• To make decisions on the acceptance or rejection of group bookings based on rate and availability in order to maximise hotel revenue.
• To be fully knowledgeable in the operation, functionality and standards required in using the FIDELIO and OPERA reservations system.
• To input Group/Block Reservations into the FIDELIO and OPERA reservations system, ensuring all details are accurate and complete in line with the agreed departmental standard.
