A growing international organisation operating across a diverse portfolio of energy, infrastructure and trading-related activities. With operations spanning multiple jurisdictions, the group continues to invest across both traditional and emerging energy markets.
Due to continued growth and evolving reporting requirements, they are seeking a Group Consolidation Manager to join their London based Finance team.
Role & responsibilities
You will play a key role in the delivery of quarterly consolidated financial reporting for external stakeholders, lenders and investors. This is a highly visible role with regular exposure to senior leadership, requiring a strong blend of technical accounting, consolidation expertise and commercial understanding of business performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing quarterly condensed consolidated financial statements under IFRS (IAS 34), including primary statements and disclosures
- Owning the preparation of quarterly reporting packs, including detailed analysis of balance sheet, P&L and cashflow performance
- Supporting reporting requirements for lenders, debt providers and external stakeholders
- Preparing annual consolidated financial statements and statutory accounts across multiple legal entities
- Managing the group consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments
- Preparing disclosure notes and supporting schedules within tight reporting deadlines
- Partnering with senior finance leadership to analyse and explain business performance
- Supporting external audits and technical accounting projects
- Providing technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and new accounting standards
- Driving improvements across reporting processes, controls and systems
- Supporting and developing a small finance team
What you need
- Strong experience within Group Reporting and Consolidation roles
- Proven IFRS reporting experience, including preparation statutory accounts, disclosures and notes
- Experience preparing quarterly external financial reporting within a complex international group
- Exposure to reporting for lenders, debt providers, investors or bondholders
- Strong understanding of consolidated balance sheets, P&L and cashflow reporting
- Experience operating within multi-entity and multi-jurisdictional environments
- Exposure to interim reporting under IAS 34 would be highly advantageous
- Experience supporting external audits and technical accounting matters
- Knowledge of HFM, Hyperion, OneStream or similar consolidation systems would be beneficial
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders
Experience gained within Energy, Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure, Industrials or other large multinational groups would be advantageous, though not essential.
