Job summary

Baker Charles in London is recruiting a Group Reporting Manager to lead the Group Reporting team, own consolidation, external financial reporting and quarterly management reporting, while mentoring a team of qualified accountants.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this senior role offers exposure to senior finance leadership and collaboration with Tax, Treasury, Corporate Development and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with group reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of qualified accountants.
• Own the half-year and year-end Group consolidation process.
• Take responsibility for the financial statements and notes in Annual and Half-Year Reports.
• Lead quarterly management reporting with KPIs and analyses.
• Act as key point of contact for external auditors.
• Prepare technical accounting papers for complex issues.
• Lead production of Group statutory accounts.
• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury and Corporate Development on transactions/ restructures.
• Provide analysis and insights to support senior management decisions.
• Drive improvements across Group reporting processes and controls.

A leading FTSE listed business is looking to appoint a Group Reporting Manager to lead its Group Reporting team. This is a senior role within a high-calibre finance function, taking ownership of Group consolidation, external financial reporting and quarterly management reporting, while managing a team of qualified accountants.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the role offers significant exposure to senior finance leadership and will work closely with Tax, Treasury, Corporate Development, Investor Relations and external auditors and advisors on reporting, technical accounting and corporate transactions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing a team of qualified accountants.
• Owning the half-year and year-end Group consolidation process.
• Taking responsibility for the financial statements and associated notes within the Annual and Half-Year Reports.
• Leading quarterly management reporting, including key performance metrics and analysis.
• Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors.
• Resolving complex technical accounting issues and preparing technical accounting papers.
• Leading the production of Group statutory accounts.
• Working with Tax, Treasury and Corporate Development on transactions and restructures.
• Providing analysis and insight to support senior management and business decision-making.
• Driving improvements across Group reporting processes and controls.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) from either industry or practice, with strong technical accounting and Group reporting experience. You will be comfortable with complex reporting and consolidation processes, able to communicate confidently with senior stakeholders and combine strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness. Experience within a listed or complex Group environment would be particularly relevant.
