Job summary

Clermont Hotel Group is seeking a driven Financial Accountant to join our Group Reporting team. You will own statutory and consolidated reporting across multiple entities, supporting monthly, quarterly and annual requirements with a focus on accuracy and control.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified (or equivalent) with audit practice experience.
• Strong experience preparing statutory financial statements under IFRS.
• Experience of statutory and consolidated group reporting across multiple entities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and solid IT capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end statutory accounts process for 20+ Group entities, from preparation and planning through to internal and external reviews and coordinating director sign-off.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial results, including reporting to our parent company and bank.
• Prepare consolidated balance sheet and cash flow reporting, ensuring information is accurate and delivered to agreed deadlines.
• Manage the annual intercompany cleardown process, coordinating the settlement of Group intercompany balances through dividend and capital injection transactions.
• Take ownership of the Group's IFRS 16 model, monitoring its accuracy and processing remeasurements as required.
• Support the preparation of monthly management reporting packs for our parent company and bank.
• Support the month-end close process, including the preparation and processing of manual journals.
• Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all balances are supported by appropriate documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and relevant financial reporting standards.
• Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of robust financial controls and reporting processes.
• Provide technical accounting support and contribute to ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with the Group Reporting Manager and wider Finance team to identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and drive best practice.
