Job description

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within the Surgical Division at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust where you will be responsible for the management of General Surgery within the Surgical and Patient Services Group.

You will support the strategic direction of the service and work across organisational boundaries within the Integrated Care System. You will be passionate about improving and redesigning services to deliver excellent patient care. You will be an engaging leader with a flexible style who can support and motivate staff and understand what it takes to run a successful team.

You will work closely with, and receive support from, the Divisional Leadership Team.

You will have management experience in a variety of settings and must be able to demonstrate the ability to achieve targets with a strong focus on operational issues, strategic development, systems working, 78 weeks RTT, budgetary management, service re-design and supporting the commissioning agenda. Excellent collaborative working skills are essential, along with the ability to build strong relationships with Clinical Leaders and professional staff groups.
