Job summary

Ascent Recruitment Limited partners with a fast-growing international SME in Manchester to appoint a Group Management Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller as their number two, this is a broad, hands-on role with responsibility for month-end across a complex multi-entity, multi-currency group.

You’ll own month-end processes, management accounts, intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet controls, driving improvements with Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified, part-qualified or studying.
• Strong hands-on month-end experience.
• SME or multi-entity environment experience desirable.
• Interest in improving processes rather than simply maintaining them.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end across multiple group entities.
• Manage month-end processes, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
• Intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Drive finance process improvements, reporting and controls.
• Support audit and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Guide and support the wider finance team.

Ascent Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing, international SME in Manchester to appoint a Group Management Accountant.

Reporting to an excellent Financial Controller as their number two, this is a broad, hands-on role with responsibility for month-end across a complex multi-entity, multi-currency group.

You’ll get involved in:

• Owning month-end processes across multiple group entities
• Management accounts, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
• Intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations
• Improving finance processes, reporting and controls
• Using Excel, Power BI and technology to drive efficiencies
• Cash management, bank reconciliations and payment runs
• Supporting audit and working with stakeholders across the business
• Supporting and guiding the wider finance team

We’re looking for someone who is ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified, part-qualified or studying, with strong hands-on month-end experience and a genuine interest in improving processes rather than simply maintaining them.

Experience within an SME or multi-entity environment would be particularly useful.
