Job summary

SF Partners is recruiting a Group Management Accountant in the UK to join the central finance team. This permanent, office-based role reports to the Group Financial Controller and offers broad responsibility for management accounts, group reporting and performance analysis.

You will prepare monthly accounts across entities, handle balance sheet reconciliations, support consolidation and provide insightful commentary to drive commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified, finalist or newly qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant with strong management accounting and month-end experience.
• Experience in a multi-entity or Group environment is preferred but not essential.
• Strong technical grounding, confidence with balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

SF Recruitment are supporting a growing, multi-entity organisation in the appointment of a Group Management Accountant to join their central finance team.

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, this is a broad, hands-on role with responsibility for producing accurate management accounts, supporting Group reporting and providing meaningful analysis around business performance.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities
• Month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions
• Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
• Supporting Group consolidation and intercompany accounting
• Variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods
• Providing clear commentary and insight around financial performance
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and external audit
• Stock, margin and cost accounting

The Candidate

We're looking for a part-qualified, finalist or newly qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant with strong management accounting and month-end experience.

You'll ideally have experience within a multi-entity or Group environment, although this is not essential. More important is a strong technical grounding, confidence with balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis, and the ability to investigate numbers rather than simply report them.

This would suit someone looking for a broad Management Accountant position within a growing business where they can gain exposure across Group reporting, consolidation, commercial analysis and process improvement.
