Job summary

Sharp Consultancy is partnering with a growing Leeds-based, multi-site group to appoint a Group Management Accountant. The role offers exposure across management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and business partnering.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive management accountant to take ownership of a broad, varied role within a multi-entity environment and work across group functions in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified / part-qualified
• Experienced in producing management accounts
• Comfortable working across multiple entities or business units
• Strong technically with excellent attention to detail
• Experienced in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Confident working with senior stakeholders
• Advanced Excel user with strong financial systems experience
• Commercially minded with insight-driven reporting

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities
• Ownership of month-end reporting and close processes
• Detailed P&L and balance sheet analysis
• Preparation of monthly group reporting packs
• Variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year
• Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Producing financial analysis and insight for senior management
• Business partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders
• Supporting cash flow and working capital reporting
• Assisting with year-end accounts and audit processes
• Supporting group-wide finance projects and process improvements
• Improving reporting, controls and finance processes across the group

I’m currently working with a successful and growing multi-site group in Leeds that is looking to appoint a Group Management Accountant. This is a broad role within the group finance function, offering excellent exposure across management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and business partnering.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded management accountant looking to take ownership of a broad and varied role within a multi-entity environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities

• Ownership of month-end reporting and close processes

• Detailed P&L and balance sheet analysis

• Preparation of monthly group reporting packs

• Variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year

• Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process
