We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health, Safety, and Facilities Manager to ensure compliance, safety, and sustainability across RH Commercial Vehicles and associated sites. The Role:

Reporting to the Directors, your responsibilities include:

Health and Safety:

  • Lead in providing a safe environment for staff and customers, ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974.
  • Oversee health surveillance requirements, including HAVS testing.
  • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections; implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate health and safety records and data.
  • Stay updated on external health and safety developments and promote best practices.
  • Develop and execute annual action plans within set timelines.
  • Advise and guide directors, managers, and staff on health and safety issues, hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety strategies.

Facilities Management:

  • Manage daily operations of eight sites and three properties, ensuring legislative and franchisor standards compliance.
  • Serve as the main contact for facility operations.
  • Lead redevelopment and refurbishment projects with senior management.
  • Oversee environmental obligations, waste management, and reporting.
  • Negotiate utility contracts and manage energy consumption.

Sustainability Initiatives:

  • Drive sustainability projects to meet environmental goals.
  • Monitor and report on energy use, waste, and environmental impact.
  • Implement energy-efficient solutions and promote sustainability culture across locations.
Candidate Profile:
  • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974.
  • Experience in promoting safety compliance and developing safety cultures.
  • Flexibility, prioritization skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate across multiple sites.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Full clean Driving Licence.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in the motor trade, especially with commercial vehicles.
  • First Aid or Fire Marshall certification.
