Job summary

Vital Energi in Blackburn, UK is seeking a Group Fleet Manager to lead the transformation of our fleet operation. You will own the full vehicle lifecycle and drive a data-led, digitally enabled function aligned with growth and ESG goals.

You will manage governance, reporting and supplier relationships, deliver a fleet roadmap, and provide expert data-driven advice to senior leaders to reduce whole-life costs and environmental impact.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fleet management or transport operations.
• Experience developing fleet strategy and governance.
• Experience implementing fleet management systems and digitising processes.
• Confident managing fleet-related payroll, BIK, and P11D data.

Responsibilities

• Own, develop and implement the fleet strategy aligned with growth, safety and ESG.
• Lead selection, implementation, and improvement of a fleet management system.
• Manage relationships with leasing companies, manufacturers, insurers and suppliers.
• Create a fleet roadmap including replacement cycles, electrification and funding options.
• Identify fleet risks and regulatory changes and translate into actions.
• Oversee full vehicle lifecycle from ordering to disposal.
• Develop a target operating model for governance across key functions.
• Establish a structured programme of fleet improvement by value and risk.
• Embed fleet policies and guidance for consistent control.
• Provide data-driven advice to senior leaders with robust analysis.
• Maintain data for P11D reporting and ESG disclosures.
• Monitor Scope 1 emissions and overall cost including depreciation and fuel.
