Job summary

The Airedale Group is seeking a Group Fleet Manager to lead a fleet of around 500 vehicles, including company cars and vans. You will own the fleet strategy, drive cost efficiency, and manage two Fleet Administrators to deliver a high level of service to drivers.

Role focuses on transforming the fleet operation, reviewing leasing arrangements, introducing a fleet management system, and steering EV adoption while collaborating with Finance, Procurement and Operations across the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing, reviewing and scaling an in-house fleet operation in a commercial setting.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle leasing and fleet lifecycle management.
• Understanding of UK fleet legislation and duty of care requirements.
• Experience using fleet data to identify trends and drive cost controls.
• Experience leading a small team and influencing best practice.

Responsibilities

• Review the Group's existing fleet operation model end-to-end.
• Negotiate improved terms with suppliers and optimise service levels.
• Develop and implement a Group-wide fleet strategy aligned to growth and integrations.
• Establish governance and regular performance reviews with suppliers.
• Lead the rollout of a fleet management system and EV transition.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and fleet expenditure with Finance.
