Job summary

Proftech Talent seeks a proactive Group Finance Manager to lead the finance function across multiple entities, including a road safety equipment manufacturer and a solar market operation. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will deliver accurate management information, ensure robust financial controls, and support business growth through insightful reporting.

You will oversee management accounting, treasury, payroll, VAT/P11D, audits and team leadership, while driving cashflow

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred).
• Monthly management accounts with P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and commentary.
• Cash management including daily bank reconciliations and cashflow forecasting.
• UK VAT returns and P11D processes knowledge.
• Payroll inputs and liaising with external payroll providers.
• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong organisational skills; ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Intercompany accounting and reconciliations (Desirable).
• Experience working in multi-entity group finance environments and with external audits (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and provide supporting commentary.
• Deliver financial analysis to support decision making and performance.
• Assist with board reports and management information.
• Support forecasting and budgeting cycles.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand drivers and trends.
• Maintain intercompany reconciliations across group entities.
• Manage cashflow forecasting and treasury reporting.
• Process payments, banking activities and approvals.
• Support VAT, P11D and HMRC filings.
• Coordinate year-end accounting and tax requirements.
• Line manage and develop Accounts Assistant.
