Job summary

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital in East Kilbride is seeking a Group Exercise Manager to lead class delivery and deliver exceptional customer service to members.

You will motivate members, teach classes in the studio and pool, review timetables, and help develop our class and timetable offering in line with trends and budget, while ensuring safety and cleanliness across facilities.

Qualifications

• Qualified instructor with class-based exercise qualifications.
• Experience in a corporate or commercial fitness environment.
• First aid qualification preferred and able to follow Emergency Action Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Motivate members
• Teach classes
• Review timetables and ensure timely member responses
• Proactively develop knowledge and our offering
• Teach classes in studio and pool
• Develop class and timetable offering in line with trends and budget
• Help the team follow health and safety rules and codes of practice
• Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained
• Understand and promote health assessments, classes and programmes
• Open/close the Centre and process membership payments

Education

Qualified instructor with relevant class-based exercise qualifications

Experience of a corporate or commercial fitness environment

First aid qualification preferred and able to follow Emergency Action Procedures

Employment Type, Salary & Working Hours

• Permanent | Part Time
• £26,707.20 pro rata 8 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Motivate members
• Teach classes
• Review timetables and ensure we respond to members in good time
• Proactively develop both your knowledge and our offering
• Teach classes in the studio and the pool
• Develop our class and timetable offering, in line with the latest trends and our budget
• Help the team follow health and safety rules, as well as codes of practice
• Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
• Understand and promote all the health assessments, classes and programmes we offer
• Follow our procedures in opening and closing the Centre, and processing membership payments

Qualifications

• Qualified instructor with the relevant qualifications in class-based exercise
• Experience of a corporate or commercial fitness environment
• Ideally, hold a first aid qualification and can follow the Emergency Action Procedures
