Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for a varied role within the manufacturing sector. The position requires hands-on experience in maintenance and installations.

You will cover four sites in the group, perform routine electrical tests, support ISO-compliant maintenance, participate in an on-call rota, and help reduce downtime through proactive PM schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with panel building and electrical installation work.
• Willing to participate in an on-call rota for maintenance.
• PLC literacy and ability to complete PPM schedules.
• Experience with wiring tests and instrumentation.
• Able to perform mechanical maintenance when required.

Responsibilities

• Cover production needs regarding engineering issues and breakdowns.
• Conduct routine test and inspection of electrical systems and portable appliances.
• Undertake maintenance activities in line with ISO and customer specs.
• Reduce maintenance costs and utilise PPM to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Work as part of the group maintenance team across four sites.
• Assist Engineering Manager with ongoing and new projects.
• Participate in mechanical maintenance when necessary.
• Collaborate with the team to optimise performance and downtime.

About You

• An experienced electrical maintenance engineer with a mechanical aptitude
• Experience of panel building and installation work
• Confident and the ability to be part of an out of hours rota for on call maintenance.
• PLC literate, with the competency to complete PPM schedules
• Experience of fix wire testing and instrumentation
• Prepared to be part of the on-call team 1 week in every seven weeks.
