Job summary

Resourcing Group is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician to join a leading manufacturing facility in the region. You will maintain electrical plant and machinery, troubleshoot faults, and implement improvements to reduce downtime.

The role requires a recognised electrical apprenticeship or qualification, and experience in industrial maintenance, PLC fault finding, and three-phase motor systems.

Qualifications

• Completed an electrical engineering apprenticeship or hold an electrical qualification.
• Experience of electrical maintenance engineering within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Fault finding & troubleshooting of PLCs; programming PLCs is desirable.
• Experience with 3 phase, sensors, inverters, contactors, relays, servo drives is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance of all plant and machinery through fault finding, planned maintenance, shutdowns and project work.
• Working as part of a team, responsible for all electrics throughout the factory.
• Identify solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Develop understanding of machinery operation to diagnose and rectify faults.
• Provide clear communication to colleagues and production and keep maintenance logs.
• Work safely and follow safe systems of work and TPM/5S processes.

Role:

Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician

Salary:

£48,000 - £50,500 per annum, plus overtime and opportunities to learn and develop

Hours:

Panama Shift Pattern, 6 till 6, 2 Weeks Of Days followed by 2 Weeks Of Nights (Working 7 of every 14 days)

Week 1: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat

Week 2: Sun, Weds, Thurs

Location:

Commutable from Durham, Darlington, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Sunderland and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician to work within a manufacturing company at one of their leading automated factories. You will benefit from a friendly and loyal team of Engineers working in this fast faced environment. Responsibilities

This role will involve all aspects of trouble shooting, problem solving and project work. You will be required to look for and implement continuous improvements individually and as part of a team. In addition, you will also be required to plan and carry out preventative maintenance in order to ensure a high standard of plant maintenance is always achieved. You will be required to assist in all maintenance activities on site. The successful candidate will be working as part of the electrical maintenance team ensuring that all electrical plant equipment is operating efficiently with the minimum amount of downtime and in a safe order. You will also be required to adhere to strict health and safety requirements at all times.

• Electrical maintenance of all plant and machinery through fault finding, planned maintenance, shut downs and project work.

• To work tidily and make a positive contribution to the 5S system.

The role will include anything electrical, including sensors, motors, variable speed drives, contactors, relays, inverters and PLCs. any experience of some of these will be highly desirable.

Requirements

• Completed a recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship or hold an engineering Electrical qualification
• Experience of electrical maintenance engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Fault finding & troubleshooting of PLC's -additional interest or knowledge of programming PLC's is desirable
• Some of the following electrical experience; 3 phase, star / delta motors, sensors, inverters, contactors, relays, servo drives, installations, general maintenance
• Friendly and adaptable working attitude, with the hunger to learn and progress
• Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck in
