Job summary

SCG Connected seeks a Group Technical Officer to provide executive leadership for technology platforms, infrastructure and capabilities, translating business priorities into a coherent strategy, roadmap and investment plan. You will drive the technology agenda at the group level, aligning engineering, product and commercial teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• Executive-level leadership and experience in a complex telecom/cloud/tech environment.
• Ability to develop and execute technology strategy, roadmaps and investment plans.
• Strong budgeting, governance, risk, and cyber security understanding.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the Group technology strategy and long-term roadmap.
• Advise on technology investment, emerging technologies and risks.
• Provide leadership across platforms, cloud, data centres and AI-enabled services.
• Ensure secure, scalable and resilient technology platforms.
• Partner with Product/Commercial teams to translate needs into roadmaps.
• Lead senior technology leaders and establish clear accountability.
• Oversee performance, capacity, lifecycle, and business continuity.
