Job summary

Barings seeks a senior technology leader to own the Global Technology & Data function, reporting to the COO. The Head of Global Technology will set technology strategy, ensure resilient, secure operations, oversee AI-related initiatives and data capabilities, and partner with senior stakeholders across the firm.

This role includes line management of the GTD leadership team, governance of AI and platform strategy, and driving modernization and automation to improve outcomes while maintaining

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior technology leadership in a regulated or enterprise environment.
• Proven ability to define and deliver a multi-year technology, data and AI strategy.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technology teams across data, cyber security, infrastructure, delivery and engineering.
• Strong governance and prioritisation across complex global organisations.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the multi-year Global Technology, Data and AI strategy with a clear roadmap and investment plan.
• Own the Global Technology & Data operating model with governance and accountability aligned to risk and regulatory expectations.
• Lead the senior GTD leadership team with collaboration, delivery discipline and succession planning.
• Set strategic direction for AI-related technology, applications and platforms to drive value.
• Oversee data capabilities including management, governance, analytics and insight generation.
• Ensure resilient, secure and scalable technology operations across infrastructure and cyber security.
