Job summary

MD Group – Eastbourne seeks an experienced Groundworker/Bricklayer to join our team in the Eastbourne area. You will perform essential groundworks and bricklaying to complete repairs on a single visit, supporting our social housing maintenance services.

We offer a fixed 42.5 hour week, £16.29 per hour, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, a van with fuel card, uniform, length of service bonuses, and pension. Driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or equivalent trade qualification.
• Ability to perform a minimum of 2 other trades to acceptable standards.
• Current Health & Safety training certificates including Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Manual Handling & Risk Assessments.

Responsibilities

• Complete a variety of tasks to ensure repairs/orders are finished in a single visit.
• Work in and around Eastbourne delivering high quality workmanship.

Do you have previous experience in Social Housing? Are you committed to putting the customer at the heart of what you do? We are looking for an enthusiastic Groundworker/Bricklayer that wants to provide high quality work to support our business and its values.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Groundworker/Bricklayer to work in and around the Eastbourne area. It is key that they can complete a variety of tasks to ensure that repairs/orders can be completed in a single visit.

Our Groundworker/Bricklayer will receive:

• £16.29 per hour (£36,000 annually)
• Fixed 42.5 hour week
• 20 days holiday a year + BH’s
• Van (manual), Fuel Card & Uniform
• Length of Service bonuses
• Pension

The ideal candidate will have:

• One main trade qualification (or time served trades experience) e.g. NVQ 2, NVQ 3, City & Guilds, combined with the ability to perform a minimum of 2 other trades to acceptable standards
• Current Health & Safety Training certificates (including, but not limited to, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Manual Handling & Risk Assessments)
• An understanding and be able to use effectively (after training) equipment and processes which may be reasonably required by the Company
• Experience and a passion for delivering high quality services to a diverse range of customers
